Pre-Marital Counseling FAQs
Everything You Need to Know Before You Begin
How many sessions do we need?
The standard package includes five personalized sessions, along with a detailed online assessment that helps identify your relationship’s strengths and potential growth areas. These sessions are intentionally designed to cover core topics that matter in every marriage: communication, conflict resolution, finances, family dynamics, and shared values. Some couples choose to add an extra session or two depending on their needs.
Is your counseling faith-based?
It can be—but only if that’s what you’re looking for. Many couples come to me because they want guidance rooted in spiritual principles, while others prefer a completely secular and practical approach. I tailor each session to reflect your values, your beliefs, and your comfort level. The goal is to create a space where both partners feel supported.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes. All sessions can be done in-person or virtually via Zoom or FaceTime. Many couples appreciate the flexibility of online meetings, especially if they have busy schedules, live in different locations, or prefer the comfort of home.
What does it cost, and is it worth it?
Pre-marital counseling is one of the most valuable investments you can make in your future. The cost is $35 per session, plus a one-time fee for the online relationship assessment. This is a small financial commitment compared to the long-term benefits: healthier communication, aligned expectations, and a shared vision for your marriage.
In fact, couples who complete pre-marital counseling often report greater satisfaction and fewer conflicts in their early years of marriage. The peace of mind and preparation it offers? That’s priceless.
How do we get started?
It begins with a 20-minute discovery call—your chance to connect, ask questions, and make sure it’s a good fit. If you choose to move forward, we’ll schedule your sessions and send you a link to complete the online assessment.
Click here to apply and book your call.
Your $20 fee is refunded or applied to your first session.
Do we need to be engaged to sign up?
Not at all. This is a space for any couple who is seriously considering marriage and wants to build a strong foundation. Whether you’re newly engaged or still in the “should we take this next step?” phase, pre-marital counseling can help you gain clarity and connection.
Do you require this counseling if you're officiating our wedding?
No, it’s not required—but many couples who book me for their ceremony choose to go through pre-marital counseling as well. It helps set a beautiful tone leading into your wedding and your marriage.

Funeral Services FAQs
Do you help plan the entire funeral service or just officiate?
Yes. While my role centers on officiating, I often work closely with families to help shape the flow and tone of the service. From selecting readings to crafting the eulogy and coordinating with the funeral home, I’m here to help guide the entire experience in a meaningful, organized way.
What areas do you serve for funeral services?
I officiate memorials, funerals, and graveside services throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Whether your service is held at a funeral home, cemetery, house of worship, or private residence, I’m honored to support you and your loved ones.
Do you officiate non-religious or interfaith funerals?
Absolutely. Every life is unique, and I meet people where they are. Whether you're seeking a faith-based, spiritual, interfaith, or non-religious ceremony, I’ll help create something personal and heartfelt—centered on your loved one’s story and values.
How much does a funeral officiant service cost?
Funeral and Memorial Services start at $300 and Gravesite Services start at $150. My fees vary depending on location, timing, and level of involvement. I’m happy to discuss all of this during a discovery call, with clarity and no pressure. What matters most is that you feel supported and cared for throughout the process.
What if we don’t know what to say during the service?
That’s exactly where I can help. I’ll guide you through the process—offering sample readings, helping gather reflections, and weaving together a ceremony that honors your loved one with dignity, compassion, and grace. You don’t have to do this alone.
How quickly can you be available?
I understand that funeral arrangements often happen quickly. If you're searching for a funeral officiant near you on short notice, please reach out. My availability is limited to evenings and Saturdays.
Can you officiate memorials or celebrations of life after burial or cremation?
Yes. I often officiate memorial services, celebrations of life, or remembrance gatherings days, weeks, or even months after someone has passed. These events offer space to reflect, celebrate, and find comfort together—whenever the time is right for your family.
Do you provide support before or after the service?
Yes. I’m available to offer spiritual support, grief guidance, or simply to listen—both before and after the service. Many families find comfort in knowing they don’t have to navigate this time alone.
How much does a funeral cost overall?
The cost of a funeral can vary widely depending on your preferences, location, and the services you choose. On average, a traditional funeral service in New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania ranges from $7,000 to $12,000. This can include the funeral home’s basic services, transportation, a casket, ceremony arrangements, and burial or cremation.
At Clergy On Call, my role is focused on officiating and personalizing the ceremony, and my service fee typically ranges from $300 to $500, depending on travel, ceremony complexity, and planning needs.
I’m always happy to work with families and funeral homes to ensure the service feels dignified, comforting, and affordable. I can also suggest options for simple memorials, graveside-only services, or faith-based celebrations of life—all tailored to your family’s needs.
